“Quality Builders of an Abundant Life”

January 26, 2010

Dear Friends

We are so grateful for your support of the patient work God continues to build in us.  Thanks so much for holding up our arms when they were weary; and giving above and beyond to our need when our tank was empty.  You are truly a blessing!  I promised in my last letter to write to you our plans as we move forward into 2010.  So, here is what we feel God has spoken to us in recent weeks concerning his will upon our lives and ministry.

REST IN THE LORD

Psalms 37:5-7   Commit your way to God; Trust also in him, and he will bring it to pass.   And he will make your righteousness to go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon-day.  Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:

Over the past three and a half years we have been busy about the father’s business in our efforts to establish a new church in one of the most desperate cities in America.  We have feed multitudes of people, ministered to the sick, written hundreds of articles and messages, and encouraged those downtrodden when they needed it most.  However, with all that we have done through God’s grace, an established church ministry has yet to manifest.  There is a spiritual law that God would now have us abide in.  It is the law of Sabbath, the law of rest!  Sabbath is not a particular day of the week.  It is a day by day status of our heart and soul towards God’s work upon our lives.  God requires that we work.  However, he also requires that we rest, and wait patiently upon him!  To disregard this truth would be a serious blow upon our lives and God’s purpose in it.

BE STILL

Psalms 46:10  Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.  The Lord God of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.

This is very closely related to the exact advice that God gave Moses, as he and the host of Israel stood at the edge of the Red Sea, hemmed in between its deep water and the closing armies of Pharaoh.  Be still!  There is a time to be busy moving and doing. However, there is a time to be still and wait upon the hand of God to make a way for us to move forward into his promise.  That time for us has now come!  I have no doubt that God is with us!  He will not forsake us!  A strong east wind will very soon begin to blow, and make our path clear before us.

We ask for your continued prayer and financial support during this Sabbath season that we are entering into!  I want whatever God wants for me, my family and his purpose upon us.  I truly believe that an incredible door is about to open up in our lives, and we desire that you continue to be a part of it.  I will update you again month by month, as we always have.  Stand with us… as together we stand still, and see the salvation of our God!  This ministry is going to be established by the grace of God!

Blessings,

La Vaughn Landry: Senior Pastor
